Is everyone on here that critical of newbies? I have learned a lot..and maybe they think they have to pay $20 to join?

This is also when Nissans and NICO club came into my life. I was gifted a Maxima from Mia, and found "another Maxima Forum". Was flamed there a few times, and never really went back. That's when I found NICO. Immediately I felt welcome. I finally found home. Been here ever since. It's my home inside the computer. I finally married Mia on 08/08/06 and am very lucky to have her. So that is my life in a nutshell. Hope you had fun reading it!

Hmmm...some of this looks familiar: http://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread/219453
btw, we are critical of newbies who are too lazy to search & read FAQ'/How-To's & forum directories.

Well I guess they'll have to learn about re-posts the hard way when there's 60 topics about the same thing due to noobs not doing their homework when they join...

I'm a contributing member over there as well, and I like both groups of people, but there are a lot more of the educated type on the .org than over there...either way, who cares if they don't like us? Less noobs for us

The only time I 'defend' them ,per se, is when a simple legitimate question that isn't posted every day is asked and there are 30 replies with no answer to the question. Well, IMO it's kind of dumb because it takes someone less time to just go in there and answer the quesiton than it does to flame them to death.
Soonerfan is a good example of an 'intelligible' noob basher. Yeah, he throws the truth at them and sometimes the truth hurts, but the majority of the time, he answers the question as well.

We were all noobs once. Some honestly just take some time to read a few things here and there before they post. Also, people can't take criticism well. At the end of the day, the org is here to provide info to all max owners. Its really sad to see other forums bash the org for a few aching pu$$ies. Just my .02.
Glad I was a noob before Sooner became the org bully..

Also Sooner has always been the org bully but never fully enforced it till about end of last year since newer newbies were coming in asking the same freaking question about once a month if not more.

The funniest part is that they talk all that crap about how the org isn't helpful to noobs, etc....but then they never actually answer the original question in the thread. Too busy talking about how great NICO is
I thought Nico used to play for Velvet Underground.....

Hey those kids should stop complaining. Getting flamed as a n00b is like a right-of-passage! I got flamed when I first joined back in 03. Asking questions about "whats the best intake for my 3.0 motor?" jibirish.
Its not the getting flamed part thats bad, its when the n00bs just cry about getting flamed. They should do like me and many other people did and take that flaming as a kid being smacked upside the head by the parents after doing something stupid, you LEARN NOT TO DO IT AGAIN .
Next time you put your part (do your own research) and if you still have a question about it, you post saying that you were looking into w/e, you found out this and that, but you still dont understand this other thing. THAT shows that you put some effort into it. The likelyhood of getting flamed THEN is minimal.
Anyways, maxima.org >* on Maxima-specific questions about ANYTHING of the car. And as far as in-depth info goes, our advanced performance sub-forum (All Motor, Nitrous, FI, Suspension n Brakes) IMO has only my350z.com as a rival in amassed knowledge (they go alot further in the engine department, but they have the money and the aftermarket for it).
I never really ventured into NICO, but I have read stuff from FreshAlloy.com in the past... now THATS a n00b-spawning ground

I don't think this should be an .Org vs NICO thing... some of the senior guys over there have been around here forever too and have contributed a lot in their time on the .Org.
The issue is more like the people who get butt-hurt over here will always find another forum or start another forum to join with other .Org haters to b1tch and whine about us because of their bad experiences here (justified or not). I can name at least 3 other forums (but I won't) where this sort of thing constantly takes place whenever something "goes wrong" for certain people on this .Org.

There is no "forum" issues between NICO and the .org. NICO is an all-nissan site and the major 240sx site out there. It is not designed to be major competition for a Maxima-only site nor any other <insert model here> site. It is simply another place to go for Maxima enthusiasts. As you can tell in that thread, those who like NICO support it with a passion. The same can be said of a large number of .org members too.
