Engine cover different?

Kinda of a dumb question but I was wondering if there was a difference between the 5.5 gen engine cover vs 6th gen vs 350z? I'll be in need of a new engine cover for my 3.5 swap and was wondering what my options are... thanks in advance.

the 5.5 and 6th gen are different and the 350 is completley different from both of them if you just think about it

Actually the 5.5 and 6th gen engine covers are pretty much alike. They bolt all in the same place only thing different is the length of the cover. Its a bit longer thats all.

TEH LAW speaks the truth. The 6th gen cover bolts on the 5.5gen but it covers a bit more of the IM.

and it's black vs. the silverish 5.5 gen cover.

The new altima cover looks much better though. Higher quality, it lets you see the IM, but it rounds down in the front and covers the o2 connectors....

EDIT: Here it is: The IM is plastic

Here's a 6th gen, all the fasteners are easy to see, unlike the Altima cover

If the 5.5 gen and 6 gen cover are in the same price range go with the 6th gen since it covers the IM more so. Otherwise I would go with the 5.5 gen.

Here's mine...5.5 gen cover

The Altima cover looks niiice!!

I prefer the 5.5 cover over the 6th gen. The 5.5 shows more of the manifold, which I think looks aggressive!
I'm needing a cover cuz my 6th gen is all scratched up from the cables they used when they shipped my 3.5.

Which year of the 5.5 does the cover come black?

Only the 6th gen cover comes in black. All the 5.5 gen covers are in silver/grey I do custom painting though so that's why mine is black metallic. LMK if you want yours done.
