It's snake oil, like all other so called "transmission fix" fluids...It will slightly prolong the inevitable failure of your transmission at best...

Your transmission is slipping because of broken and/or worn parts,no fluid can fix broken/worn parts, only replacement will solve the problem...

X2. You are headed down an inevitable road towards tranny failure. Sorry. (That's my smiley!)

add this one to the o so long list of snake oils. dont even bother with it, waste of your money. save that money and put it towards getting your trans fixed

Joey...if I were you I would replace your TCM and if that doesn't correct it, replace your tranny solenoids. Most likely your TCM is causing the issue.

I'm curious why you would suspect a TCM rather than a mechanical part or a sensor?

Because the failure rate in our tranny's are high. I had mine replaced at 15K, and numerous other org members had theirs replaced as well. The TCM replacement usually fixes a slip from 1st to 2nd, or 2nd to 3rd. If TCM doesn't do it then the next in line would be the solenoids.

FYI...the TCM is basically a sensor, just tells the tranny when to shift and for how long.

The TCM (see below) is not a sensor, but a control unit like the ECM that monitors many parameters to control transmission function. That's why I asked the question of why you would suspect what is basically a computer rather than a mechanical part.

Does the TCM fix hold true for a 2002 tranny? Mine slips a little from 1-2 and 2-3. If so, how much is a new TCM roughly and what's involved in the swap? I can tear down and rebuild an engine with my eyes closed but trannies are a whole 'nuther ball game for me!

The TCM is behind the console in passenger compartment. It's a plug-in device like the ECM and not hard to swap. As to its cost, I never had to replace one.

UGH...OK technically it isn't a sensor. But as I said before in my earlier post MANY org members have had tranny slipping issues and a lot of these were solved by changing out the TCM. Of course, if they changed it out in time. Somewhere along the line a TCM's signal goes bad or is not consistent and that is where the problems start.

Do a search on the forums for TCM and you'll find a plethora of information about it.

I'm guessing that a new TCM is about $400 wholesale? Hope it works.

The 2000 Maxima is well known to have this problem. I'm not sure if it applies to later models. If you do a search you'll find the TSB that addresses the fix for this problem. It's well known. It requires the replacement of the solenoid controller (31490-85X04).
