Speeding ticket

Haha... sorry everybody for posting another speeding ticket thread. I just got to my friends house, after getting ANOTHER speed ticket. I currently have 6 points on my license, and just got another ticket tonight, 82 on 60. The cop was nice enough not to write me up for speeding in a working zone, which actually was 50 mph, or my fines would have been doubled. The ticket is waiverable within 7 days for $113. My question is: If I just pay this ticket straight up, would this still bump up my points? I need some feedback from possible police officers on this forum. Haha. Thanks everybody.

I'm sorry, but it has to be asked.

Have you ever considered just slowing down?

Okay. I'm just saying, with 6 points on your license you probably shouldn't be cruising at 35 over in a construction zone.

My guess is that it will bump your points, yes. I would normally say to consider pleading with a judge but I'm not sure how sympathetic he'll be considering you already have 6 points. But I don't know for sure whether you'll get more or less points by just paying.

Why don't you just slow the **** down? I spend more than 1000 miles in my car every week. I don't own a radar detector and have not had a ticket in over 15 years. Numerous trips between Florida and North Carolina, one doing 5-7 over the speed limit and one doing 10+ over the limit, netted only an arrival time of ONLY 15-20 minutes early. It is not worth the risk of ruining your life OR someone else's life by being stupid. You will be lucky if your insurance company don't drop you. You WILL get additional points. You made the decision to speed, pay the d'amn ticket and slow down.
