Car Battery Question

Hey guys....

I just bought an Optima Battery for my 05 maxima.

The batter size needed is a (35). They did not have any in stock so I bought the (34). They guy at Pep Boys said it would fit. So I bought it....

Well it fit after a few minor adjustments. Will there be any issues because of the size is a 34 and not a 35?????

As long as it's tied down properly you should be good... Assuming, of course, that the Cranking Amps and Cold Cranking Amps are rated to at least match those of the OEM battery.

yes its pretty secure.

However the 2 cracking amps are located a further down then the normal 35 size battery.

I had a hard time getting the connectors to reach across the battery.

I had to cut some zip ties the factory placed in order to get the wires to reach.

Well, I didn't mean the physical connections to the terminals themselves, but rather the ratings of the battery itself. As long as those meet or exceed OEM spec, you're good.
