Is it worth it? Do the kit come with their own brake pads or do I have to reuse my current pads? This brake kit shouldn't have a problem fitting my 17" rims, will it? Do I need to get SS brake lines as well? Stillen's price is high, as usual. Any recommendation of where to buy? Avalon, Phuong, anywhere else? Thanks.

That's a different deal. Those are stock size rotors. The one I'm talking about is the big brake kit with larger rotors and calipers. This kit should be at least $1000.

..

at least $1000.... you mean closer to $2000

It's the ap racing kit with 13" Rotors, 4 piston calipers and pads..

Vic is selling his barely used set at a great price!!

email him if your serious because you are not going to find a better deal.

The stillen kit comes with rotors pads brakelines calipers and is just for the front reatails for 1600 i think. YOu can get it at avalon for a few hundred less. It is worth it. But you should still upgrade the rear.

Now that I thought about it, I think I'll pass on the brake kit. If I want to get the kit, I want to get it for both the front and rear. With the price for the kit, I think it would be wiser for me to use that money for the supercharger even though the supercharger cost a bit more. Maybe I will look at just the stock size Stillen rotors.

I think just the fronts will suffice

I think the front brakes account for just about 80% of the braking power. That's why the front brake rotors are larger and the front pads wear out much faster than the rear under normal and sport driving. I would just be concerned with improving the front brakes. If it were up to me, I'd just get a set of SS brakelines and a good set of pads. But then, what am I talking about...I bought a set of Wilwoods a few months back and I'm too lazy to install them plus I have a few issues also. I think my front rotors are slightly warped, but my pads are less than half used and they are the originals with 45K on them.

The braking system is like this 70% front 30% rear. That price is for the six piston's... don't get them...the four pistons from stillin is1799 avalon does 10% off that... Then the minium change on the rear should be brake lines... If you want a doller value brake lines are the thing to upgrade.

Actually

The funny thing is that I finally got the y-pipe and b-pipe on just the other day. So let's see, I can scratch two off my list of many things to do. Yeah Dave, let me know how the brakes turn out. Are you doing it yourself, with friends, or hired help (I doubt the latter)?

That's what I'm talking about. Not only will it help braking, but it also complete the look if you aftermarket wheels. Btw, did they came with their own kind of brake pads? How much did the whole kit plus the ss brake lines costed you?

If I want to do this, I might as well go all out and get the whole kit(both fronts and rears) with ss brake lines as well. How much do you guys think that will run, at the lowest price possible? If the price is over $2000 just for the fronts, then I'll pass. However, if it's for the whole package(fronts and rears), I'll consider it.

.

they don't make a big brake kit for the rears (no one does yet). you can however put slotted rotors, pads and ss lines on.

Best thing to do is to get the front kit which retails for like 1700. Then get cross drilled rear 12" rotors s.s. brake lines, pads, and 2 piston calipers. This set up will be optium. As far as 2 grand. Your unlikly to get it for under that. But if you find it for under it let me know where, cuz thats what im doing.

Wow, then it's cost that much just for the two fronts? I think I'll pass on this. Forget this, I rather save up and spend it on a supercharger.
