When redlining 2nd and going into third sometimes its not a smooth shift and it grinds its only third and no other gear... but under normal driving it never happens... i just bought the car a month ao and havenot had a chance to really service it... i am hoping 5 quarts of redline mt90 cures the problem...any thoughts.. thanks, louis

you can try redlining 2nd and hold the clutch down and shift in to third w/ the clutch held down long enough so you are sure the shift has gone all the way through...i know sometimes with racing, one might lift up on the clutch too early or something like that...don't know what to tell you if that doesn't work

Im sorry to tell you this ,but my max does the same. And i know why it does that there are rings in the tranny that slow it down when you push the clutch in,These rings wear out sometimes and you could just hold the clutch down and wait for revs to drop .But you would never win a race.I have been told that the fix is nine hundred dollars, what im doing is putting a different powertrain in ???
