i searched the forums and all i could find were motor and/or regulator type discussions. Like, broken motor or regulator issues. This is not my problem, however. Was wandering if anyone here could shed some light on what my problem might be. door switch operates motor quite well. I can feel a cable that exits a cable-housing at the base of that "center" track, in which the cable then runs up the back of that track, moving up and down via the window switch. I thought, maybe that cable might have disconnected from something and that's why the window fell down into the door? Can anyone give my a clue before i have to continue removing any more parts to figure out what the hecks going on, PLEASE? I appreciate any help. thanks

You need to reassemble the regulator. The regulator cable is no longer attached to the window lift and your cable is now a big mess inside the spool box.
It's a real PITA to fix.

i'd just buy a new regulator, they arent that expensive.
not hard to install either, you gotta take off your door panel and eye ball the whole situation. its easy to figure out once you take a look at all of it...the window has to be raised to certain heights so you can stick your wrench through a hole in the frame. take the glass out, and then take out the regulator.

Same thing happened to mine. I opened up my door panel to check it out. Messed with it for about an hour and then just jammed something in it to keep the window from falling into the door again. I have 220k miles and figured it’s not worth spending money on fixing it.

I have fixed two of these and have never had to spend money on them.

yes pop off the panel, the rear panel is easy to get off. Run the switch and see if the actual frame goes up or not. If it doea then it a simple fix of putting the window itself back on the frame.
