License Plate Mod for free 407ETR (toll highway) rides.

Anyone got a *somewhat legal* way to block the license plate from being seen from the overhead camera? How about another method?
Unfortunately, the bike-rack system can no longer be used.

Thanks!

Just try dirt. Get a couple handfulls of mud and rub it on, so the numbers aren't recognizable. "Oops, sorry officer, didn't realize my plate was dirty, I'll wipe that right off." Or, since they probably don't bother to match the plate to the car, just find a "spare" plate. I have one.

what about this.....buy a small motor...like the ones the use for motorized amp racks (for custom stereo's) and get something the size of your plate to cover it up...then have a switch so that you can just flip a switch and the thing folds out to cover up your plate....im sure this is a very "doable" task just as long as you have the knowledge...

I've actually already spent a couple hours trying to come up with a device like this (and several other "Bond" style devices), but it really won't work. The best you could do is flip the plate down so you can't see it, but sliding something over it would entail cutting up into the trunk which is just stupid for something like this. But even flipping the plate would require a little servo with a custom built controller. If Radioshack is your friend, and you can have somebody fabricate custom (preferably aluminum) guide runners and you don't mind drilling a small hole in the bumper cover next to your plate, it's possible. Since I never intended to actually build it, I never drew it to scale, or built a prototype though, but the theory is sound. And if anybody wants plans for a device that squirts used motor oil on a tailgaters windshield or drops little spike ***** from under your trunk or how to set up a relay to kill your taillights so it's harder to follow you, just let me know. I have WAY too much time on my hands. (By the way, NO, I'm not actually going to give you these plans because I'd be legally liable and I just can't have that.)
