Just was up at ZDayz at the Tail of the Dragon with my buddy and he won the Nissan Sport Editors Choice Award. He has a Lemanze Sunset JWT TT Z.
Look for him in a fall edition.

ALright you got me there, I have not read THAT particular mag, and perhaps the comment reads like a sour cynic, which I'm not, to the extent it sounds like, who knows what mood I was in that day. BUT, the comment was based on a stereotype that I know a lot of people hold.

Furthermore, before I posted, a lot of the posts in this very thread were talking about who had or has a sweet looking car, clean engine bay etc etc

So yes I may have jumped to that conclusion. Perhaps I shouldn't have.

Since you seem to think it's worth checking out the mag I will do so. Any particular issue you'd recommend?

Well I took some time and looked around their website and a few articles etc, and I will agree that this looks like a decent mag. Would definitely be nice to see more Maxima coverage...

My apologies for jumping to conclusions.

Hi Dave,

If you have a minute, please check out this thread.

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=521976

It has a couple decent pics of my Maxima and a list of mods. Per our conversation at Nissan day at Quality Nissan, I'll be in touch very soon.

It was also nice meeting you and Dee Dee. Thanks for your consideration.

BTW, if you still would like to pursue working with Maxima.org, the man to contact is Doug (aka Sprint). He's the owner.

James

Hey James,

It was great meeting you at the ZCCIV car show last Sunday. You have a great Maxima. Sorry I couldn't spend more time with you, but as you know my day was crazy. I'm looking forward to talking with you soon.

Thanks for the info on Sprint. We'd like to talk with him about Maxima.org becoming a Nissan Sport Partner Website.

As for Maxima email submissions; we've received several. Each one looks good, at least from electronic picture files and written descriptions. A favor please. In the future please follow the vehicle submission procedure described in this link... http://www.nissansportmag.com/contac...bmissions.html

Thanks,

nissan sport vehicle submissionsWe get numerous requests from readers wanting to get their car or truck featured in Nissan Sport. To improve your chances of being considered, we request that you submit a full "Behind the Wheel" entry (one-page reader rides). Refer to an issue of the magazine for examples of what we are looking for or go here. E-mail the below info to editor@nissansportmag.com (NOTE: max of 10 MB per e-mail). Please include:
-First and last name
-City and state (or country) you live in
-Make, model, and year of car or truck
-List of major modifications (10-15 items)
-High resolution images of your vehicle (5-8 images total)
-Compelling story on you and your vehicle (500-600 words)

Helpful Hints
-Take great photos or hire a professional. Read online articles on how to take great car pictures. Wonderful photos up your chances of getting into the magazine considerably.
Click here for a great how-to-photograph-cars article.

-Take your time to write a good, interesting story. Include fun/scary/learning experiences, not just a laundry list of modifications. Don't be afraid to talk about yourself. Readers want to know the person behind the featured ride.
-Even if you own a beater or an all-stock car or truck, great pics and a great story trump a mint-condition highly modified vehicle with no story to tell.

I noticed the magazine today when I was at Borders. Looked through it and was disappointed to not see any Maximas so I didn't purchase it.

Good to hear that Maxima articles will be in there in the future though!!

1. Nissan does race cars in most levels of professional racing, INCLUDING dakar racing, rally, and touring car series.....

2. Yeah, I guess a maxima can't race..Grand Am Cup

or go ask the 350z guys who get beaten at every autocross by me in my maxima and every Sentra SE-R out there
