o2 sensor stripped!!

Well I was trying to replace my o2 sensor today and the o2 sensor socket stripped the o2 sensor so now I have no clue how to get it off. Any ideas? or has this happened to anyone?

I'm sure that PB blaster is out of the question already. I would get a torch, heat it up and hope to god a pair of vice-grips does it. That's my best answer

Drive the car around first, or use a torch, heat is your best freind, then vise-grips, just get them so incredibly tight that you can barely clamp them shut, that's the only solution, even if you have to take the y-pipe out you still will need to use a large pair of vise-grips.

Definately, if PB doesnt do it, then get it really-really hot and vice-grip it, if that doesnt do it, your screwed my friend!

if that doesn't do it, just pull the y-pipe, will be much easier.

if you stripped it you pulled when you should have pushed. the only way to fix it is have a new bung welded in. buy a new 02 sensor while your at it.
