1. The rush of air, and people screaming "**** you! Slow down!" j/k

2. Born To Be Wild (classic, as another org-er said before, when that song comes on, all cars that you are driving turn into corvette's)

3. Stevie Ray Vaughan's Pride and Joy - (Don't know why, that get's going)

4. Radar Love by Golden Earing (need I say more?)

Yes, "will you marry me?" will suffice.

"Are you dead yet" by Children of Bodom is my personal favorite.

Where's the jazz? Medeski, Martin, and Wood, John Scofield, the Duke, Django Reinhardt, Wes Montgomery, Bela Fleck and the flecktones anyone? Do yourself a favor if you have the Bose setup and listen to some of these guys. There's alot to be heard over 200hz. Tweeters do an especially nice job of reproducing jazz drumming, and cymbals.

Trance all the way, especially during a long trip... i.e. LA to SF (400 miles of nothing on the 5fwy)

I love jazz, but there aren't any good stations up in NY. When I was driving to NC, I picked up a lot of good stations, especially going through DC. I love the blues as well, but again, NY'ers like rap and classic rock, so that's what they play around here. I personally don't like rap, and I'm sick of hearing the same 100 classic rock songs over and over, so I think I'm going to go out and buy an HD radio or an XM soon.

Most of what I listen to at high speeds is drum 'n bass/jungle. When I had my Max, I used to listen to that plus breaks, goa/psy trance, some tech house, and every once in a while some trance (REAL trance, not that club crap).

A few favorites:

- Milo - Paradise (Farmatronic remix)
- Sixsense - Buddha Space
- Valentino Kanzyani - Flying (Sultan & Tone Depth remix)
- Acetate & Chris Renegade - The Future
- Konflict - Messiah
- Seba & Lenk - Captain Freak
- Def Con One - Time is the Fire
- Fanu - Two Drummers

I still listen to the same mix in the M3, but somehow the aggressive stuff is coming out less frequently and being replaced by feisty jazz. Sometimes, if I'm really blitzing a road and feel like a moment of zen, I'll either put on NPR or just listen to the car.

I personally listen mainly to techno so my all time favorite speeding song is "darude - sandstorm" also "rush"

I'd say Tangerine Dream - Dream of Trance is a pretty good song for high speed.

Drum & Bass is good too along with some Prodigy / Crystal Method

and last but not least as most educated people here can tell I'm latin by my username, I like to listen to salsa, merengue and so on but not many non latinos here would know what that is...

+1 for jazz, blues and southern rock...
and throw in a little newgrass!
all sounds good on the bose (even though the front passenger speaker is the only one that works - it still sounds pertty good!)

For the high speeds, Techno, mainly Cascada, Daft Punk or the following songs: Bidibodi Bidibu, Call On Me, Sandstorm or Children.

That's certainly a well-rounded music collections. I'm the same way, but I hate rap, don't know why......

Oh bolony! Maximas are tanks, trust me, I've "driven" sideways on Chicago's famous Lake Shore Drive highway at highway speeds and all i've gotten was a slightly dented quarterpanel, slighty dented front and rear bumper covers, slightly broken P side headlamp and corner lamp AND D side tailight but that all got fixed for under 100 bucks. So cheer up and blast some damn music!

I'd rather not drive at high speeds on the road unless the speed limit says so.

its not high speed driving. it's testing all the numbers on the speedomoter for quality.

I really listen to Weezy all day. The Carter II and any mixtape of his you can think of. He's just so nasty. I like T.I. as well.

Some of my non rap favorites are:

Daryl Hall and John Oates
Simon & Garfunkel (i take their cd's from my dad)
Blink182
New Found Glory
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Billy Joel is one of my all-time favorites.
