need to vent!
Sometime last month, after my friend saw me install a y-pipe, he said that he wanted one...so I decided to get my best friend a stillen y-pipe for his max (for my b'day he got me a cell phone which costs $500..so had to reciprocate his gesture!). anyways, I ordered the pipe on friday, but came the weekend and my friend wrecked his car...now stillen is allowing me to return the pipe but is charging me a restocking fee...talk about no-compassion here!
need ppl's input in who to try to talk to get a full refund here?
thanks

well
if they waive the restocking fee, you'll still pay shipping to them ( again) right? They won't pay for you to ship it back to them, or refund your shipping fees either.
may as well sell it new in box here to someone (plus they pay shipping).
just my 0.02

yup yup.. that's about the best that can be done.. (what biomax said)
as for stillen, whether they are sympathetic or not, business is still business.. it took them 1/2 an hour to place the order, do the paper work, pull it off the shelf, stick a mailing label on it, and get it to you. when you return something, there's 3x the paperwork and well over an hour of work involved in doing the paperwork, making sure the product is still in resellable condition, then re-packaging it if necessary.. most of the time, they can't even re-sell the item without taking a dive on the price because of it being an open box.
Soooo, stillen loses money no matter what. sucks, eh?
