Ever Wonder what other communities think?

I was bored at work today, and after checking these threads out until I read everything I possibly could that interested me, I came across something online from the Audi community talking about Maximas, and it got me curious as to what other enthusiast communities thought about Maximas. I thought it might be interesting to look at the thought dynamic of car pros and cons and see how other enthusiasts compare our cars to their own. Do they argue facts? Or simply do they see the differences in a different light than we do...

So I took a list of links that I looked through and I found to be good reads. I also took careful notice to make sure that I only posted links that are YEARS old, so no need to be going onto another message boards and try to start wars, chances are anyone and everyone whose opinions are here are not checking those forums anymore. Also considering this point, you may also take notice that there isn't going to be much discussion about 6th gens, because they weren't around at these times. I simply found it interesting and entertaining to read some of the misconceptions, opinions, and even some predictions that have since become commonly accepted truths. Enjoy.

My buddy just got a 96 Intrepid 3.5L. He has been bugging me to a race against my 98 Maxima 5 Speed. What you guys say, will I take him or get my butt handed to me?"

But it deals with Maximas and reading the other forum threads it ranges in the years/generations of Maxima so isn't it in the correct forum?

I just signed up but wasn't aware that the admins/mods are pushing for donations.

Seems like an appropriate place to put it to me.

The maxima is one of those cars (midsize sedan) that gets all others fuming and starts a crazy thread, we are just trying to avoid that and I wish you would not waste your time rubbing it in and have us flame your ***. The maximas are much faster, and will win, the end.
Haha, nice to read things like this every once in awhile.

LOL, I smoked an 03 Intrepid with the 3.8L in my 2003. He didn't even stand a chance. There is a little formula that I like to remember:

Chrysler = sh*t, breakdowns, slow (except SRT and Hemi), terrible transmissions, sad excuses for cars. Chrysler really needs to work on building quality products. They know how to make them look good (300C), they just don't know how to make them last.

Thanks Rydicule!
Fun to read.

This demeanor is the exact reason I don't donate. Handle members with integrity, not like they are your dog to kick to the curb, all while strumming up support for more donations.

This is the most unique thread i have ever seen on this site to date. Thank you Rydicule for the change of pace and the smile you put on my face.

Its funny seeing these guys talk about maxima's from a different perspective. Some of them definitely never saw it coming!!!

icing on the cake: " I raced one today just for fun. He had intake and lightweight wheels.

he owned me so badly. It was tight, made me want a max."

here is another good one : " The maxima is one of those cars (midsize sedan) that gets all others fuming and starts a crazy thread, we are just trying to avoid that and I wish you would not waste your time rubbing it in and have us flame your ***. The maximas are much faster, and will win, the end. "

i liek this one too : " The 95-98 maximas are really those cars that, I don't know, they just look correct, no sort of visual blemish to speak of. The newer, current Maximas, ehh, I don't know what Nissan designers were smoking, but man! "

I remember before I got my car and was lurking in a few forums, I'd see a few "those Maximas are deceptively quick, watch out for 'em" comments here and there. That drove me to start lurking on the org waaay back in the day.
