Anyone have an easy way of aligning the Maxima.org decal in the rear side windows so that its level? The "eyeballing it" method isn't quite cutting it for me....not much of a surpise to me considering it takes some real effort for me to fold a piece of paper perfectly in half

 

I just used eyeball and my two pinkie fingers under it and presto came out great.

 

T-Square and a China marker. The marker will wipe off the glass easily and the line will be straight.

 

You should be able to place a piese of masking tape on the window and align it till it's at the angle you desire.

Then plase the sticker alongside it.

I didn't make myself very clear, but you should get the idea.

 

You could try a laser level, as well...

 

if need be, trim the transfer tape around the decal with a pair of sissors.

 

option #2: drive to RI and I'll put it on for ya.

 

Put a drop of dish soap in a spray bottle full of water. Spray the window and sticker really well, move the graphic around till its perfect, then squeegee the water out.

 

you could do this too, but Joy is one of the only dish soaps that won't wear on the adhesive. Baby shampoo works too. Make sure it's completely dry before you pull the transfer tape off.

 

Can someoe post exact instructions on how touse the "joy" soap method?

honestly, I would suggest doing it dry. The wet method may actually be tough as the decal's so small. This site has two pretty good ways of lining it up using a piece of tape to do a dry install. Look on the bottom of the page where the "top hinge" and "center hinge" methods are described.

For a wet install simply spray down the the installation surface (usually the window) using a spray bottle filled with water and a VERY small amount of liquid soap. Also spray down the backside of the decal you are installing as you remove the paper backing. Now position the decal where you want it withOUT applying pressure. Once it is aligned use a squeegee or equivalent to remove all the water. After you have allowed the decal to dry (a heat gun or hair dryer speeds up the process) remove the application tape.

true, last time laying on tint I used baby shampoo. i kinda felt dumb buying it too, just for a drop none the less.
