Window Visors

I just got my windows tinted and I was thinking about adding the smoked window visors...what's your preference? (Car color is Sterling Mist)

Since you've got tint and sterling mist... If you absolutely want them, go smoke. Otherwise, just leave it be. I'll admit I had them on my last car (Camry), but didn't want that "look" for my Max (but damn, they'd come in handy!).

Smoked or nothing. I wouldn't do chrome.

P.s. go with in-channel vent visors.

Edit- AVS doesn't make in-channel for you car. The regular ones are PN# 94911 for the four piece set from auto ventshade.

^ I wouldn't do in-channel vent visors... My mom's quest has those, and they can easily come loose after a year or so.

ok the stick on ones are:
ugly
they tape on!
mess up the stock lines of the car
too black

the ventshade in seam ones are:
smoked not black
no damage to paint from 3m adhesive tape
keep the stock lines
longer so you can put your window down further
have never fallen out for me on ANY of the cars i'v had them on.
if they did fall out i would assume it's use installation error as they never fell out on either of my 4th gens my 5th gen my friend's 5th gen my friend's altima or my friend's bonniville. i'm sure others will attest to there fitment and quality.

i would never ever think of putting stick ons on ANY car. the look horrible. sorry i just had to speak out on this. i always assumed people cheaped out and bought the stick ons cuz they are $30 cheaper.

at least look at pics of both installed on a maxima...please!

edit#1: only had em on my 5th gen for a few months btw my sig pic obviously doesn't show them. they show NO signs of falling out...

edit#2: NO CHROME!!!!!!!!! FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS GOOD IN THIS WORLD NO CHROME!

Yea man, smoked all the way. If you do get chrome, you better get the kit that comes with the LED washer-fluid jets, the tripple gague cluster (with only two gagues in it), and The Wing. lol. There are many variations of ricer wings, so I always just refer to them as The Wing

ya don't get the window visors...i had it on my car for a while and it made a lot of wind noise so i got rid of it and just left it as is. i had the weathertech ones that go in the window channel. however, i do miss leaving my window slightly opened when parked outside under the hot sun haha but then i'll end up having a lot of dust inside the car =P but yeah for some reason they don't look that good on the 5th gen maximas. i had it on my previous car (2000 accord coupe) and it looked nice.

I had them on my 2000 Sterling in the smoked and I loved them - yea they made noise when driving but it was great to be able to leave my windows open in summer heat - rain - snow etc... and not have to worry about anything getting in.

I actually have my set from my Max for sale in the 5th Gen classifieds.

Let me know if your interested

teenwulf69@hotmail.com for pics of them

as long as you get the ventshade ones that are flush, (you can see them from the front) they dont stick out at all

This guy at my work has a crimson 5th gen with matching crimson visors. They look nice! I'd go with body color if I could find them.

If your gonna do visors, get the real subtle, aerodynamic ones that dont protrude too much.

Here are my Aristo Visors on the Lex. Functionality is great as well. It provides more shade from the sun, allows you to smoke in the rain, and gives you the "just perfect" amount of air flow into the cabin at high speeds or on the freeway.

if you smoke cigs in your car and want to do so in the rain without getting wet....then yes.

if not, then no. They simply don't look good IMO.

It's a matter of your personal preference. It's your car and it's about what you want it to look like in compliance with the laws of course. I'd personally leave it alone but I wouldn't say that it would look bad on your Maxima.

yours destroys the lines of the car imo. messes up the chrome trim and they don't fit well aka big gaps. ventshade or nothing.

I'm not sure. Nowadayz they make crap visors from crap companies for ever car out there. I went thru Carson Toyota, and they shipped these directly from Japan (btw, the Aristo Visors come "stock" on the Toyota Aristo). These are sleek, aerodynamic, and completely run in sink with the lines of the car.

If I were you, I would look to vendors who are shipping items straight out of Japan, Nismo visors, Skyline visors, or something of the sort. DO NOT put on those cheap POS visors from ebay.

Either smoked or have them painted. A friend put these on his '06 CVPI and had them painted to match the car. I had my doubts but it looks pretty good.

Thats probably the nicest one I found so far. It looks close to JDM stock, but the only thing I dont like about it is the space between the front and rear visors. I'm trying to find a visor set that connections fluidly without spaces. Maybe a custom garnish kit could fill in the cracks. I'll keep looking.

Also look to ebaymotors.

dont they all have gaps i've never seen any that go all they way through, that would be ugly. i like those on innerauto. the question is, do they acutally sit in like that on the maxima or stick out where you'd be able to tell from the front or back of the vehicle

I had the ones that go in the seams of the windows (Weathertech) until Wednesday. I lost one on the highway and took them all out.

Whoa, thats not supposed to happen. My visors have two hooks that latch in under the weather stripping PLUS pretty solid double sided tape. If you just used double sided tape, that was your problem.

I had the ones that clipped INTO the window seam. Mine weren't the cheap looking stick on ones.
