i have a 95 gle with the stock 14-hole rims. i love the oem 5-spoke SE rims, but i just bought new tires (15") a few hundred miles ago ... does nissan even make the SE rims in 15" versions? sorry, i'm new around here thanks for any help.

The SE rims on 95-96 max's nad 97-99 GLE's are 15's. They are not 5 spoke though, more like a saw blade designe.

 

I believe the 5-spoke rims you are referring to are on the SE maxima, and they are 16" rims.

 

the 5 spoke are on 97-99SE and are 16" only

thanks you guys! bad news for me, but i'm thankful i found out sooner than later. maybe next time i need tires i can make the jump to 16's - for now i have to suffer with my gle 14-holes and the new spoiler. i guess i have a glse? i told my wife that the spoiler makes me want new rims real bad and she just gave me that look... you know the one

I don't know what Nissan was thinking when it went with those funky looking GLE rims. I'm not too thrilled with my '95 SE rims but at least they are OK. I too really like those '97-'99 SE 5 spokes.

 

Actually...you can get the 15" rims in a 6spoke design or the same design as the GLE rims. When I was looking for my MAX...they had a "sport" GXE version which came with 15" Nissan 6 spoke rimms, in dash changer and spoiler. They look kinda ok. look in your MAX brochure for a pic...they have on in the '99 brochure
