Hey come on we all here are part of one big club here. If we say we are going to do something do it. So if i jibaro orders something and her should get it. That goes for any one on the org. lets try to stay to our words because if we dont then we should not even use the org, becuase thats whats its for, to help oyur fellow maxima enthusiasts, not give them bad service, or even ripp them off, this must stop.

I know how you feel, but dont know how to answer. I went down to my local shop (AAA Transmissions) And told him about don's vb mod, and he said he could do the same thing for 130-180!(I dont remember exact price). He told me he uses the best materials from some company. I suggest you go down to your local tranny shop and ask them about the upgrade. You might be pleasently surprised.

Did you already buy it ? If not, make a stop at your local shop. If so, than im sure you will get it. Don's proly backed up with orders, and is just a little slow. Although you might have gotten it for less, you won't be disappointed. Layta~

Jeez! You STILL don't have it? When's the last time you posted here regarding this...? A month or more? I know it's been a long time. Don in [Houston] Texas should be all dry by now. The flood waters that ravaged his city receded long ago. I'm with you: Something's gotta give! A simple, short status report would be nice, if nothing more is forthcoming in the *very* near future. Good luck.

I haven't got mine yet too. I know he said there's a waiting list. I think I'm number 11 or something like that. Still though, I think we all have waited long enough. I mean, this group deal was a long time ago. I ordered the VB first when I first started my "spending" spree, since then I have ordered quite a number of new things and they have all got to me already. I know we could send out the core to him if we want the VB faster. Still though, in his business, I think he should have more than a few cores around? Sorry Don, but we all just want to get our VB. I hope that the VB comes in before my supercharger goes into my car. *crossing my fingers*

I think the problem is that Don can only ship out recalibrated VB's when he gets a customer's old VB in for him to recalibrate. In other words, it's like an assembly line, the VB you get is the previous customer's old one (albeit rebuilt somewhat). So, that is probably holding up the timetable for him shipping out VB's to people.

That was one aspect of the process I never really liked. Someone can send in a VB with 150k miles on it, and he will do whatever he does to recal it and then ship it out. I'm sure Don is thorough, but do you really want a 150k old VB in your car? Especially if you have only 30k on your own Maxima?? I always think if I sent out my 50k old VB, from a transmission I know I've treated very well, then whoever gets that one will be very lucky and I never know how old the one I get will be. It probably does not make a difference, but still you never know.

u guys arent the only ones waiting i too have been on the wait for a looooong looooong time now. i keep wondering whether i'm going to get my VB anytime soon... if we have to keep waiting for someone to ship their VB back to him and then him to ship it back to us, i wonder if this is ever going to end. there should have been some line in the deal that the person who recieved their VB should mail theirs back in about a week or something like that. this is becoming a ridiculously long wait now.... but then again, what can we do? i emailed don and i appreciate the fact that he replied and told me that it would take some more time, but i dunno... this is just too long of a wait.

well when don last e-mailed me he said, about one more week...its been almost 2 weeks now! and i thought that there was a core charge if the VB wasn't returned with in 3-4 days? that was just the understanding i got from the begining of the GD.

i just recieved this email from don...

Just a quick reminder about those of you still waiting on cores. WE have sent out all we have for this week, and we will contact you via email when we get to your name on the list.

Normally we will contact you when the cores are received back. We understand that this large of a "group deal" has backed-up our core program, and to prevent any further delays, as always you can remove your OEM valvebody and
ship to us. In most cases we can get your VB completely rebuilt and shipped back out the same day. Please contact us if you want to do this instead of cores, we want to make sure its coming in and we have it scheduled to be modified.

We thank you for your patience, and remember, its the cores you are waiting on, not the upgrades. We are going as quick as the guys on the list shipping back to us.

Thanks again,

Don

i guess this sheds new light on things doesnt it? i just hope i get mine soon, once i get it installed i'll definitely let u guys know wuts up. peace.

I never thought about this! I dont want a battered up Valve body ! Even though it probubly wont make a difference. I plan on going to my local "AAA Transmissions" again, becuase they say they can do the exact upgrade for 150.00.

If you do plan to follow through on the AAA route, let us know how it turns out!

You have to meet Don to understand and appreciate the tone when he says that phrase.

Sure thing bro. I wont be doing it for a little while, after I buy my MOMO Arrows from discount tires (Thank God for monthly payments)

AS FOR DONS HORRIBLE REMARK... j/k, Don, im sure your Upgrade is superb

But after doing various things to my max, im a poor-*** man right now. Mark @ AAA Transmissions showed me a model transmission and showed me how he does the upgrade.

Those momo's will set me back alot, but once again I will let yall know when/if and how good it is.
