I've been fiddling with the procedure for paint chip repair, but the touchup paint seems way too thick. I can't get it to pull off the toothpick or make a thin layer no matter what I do - it's like Elmer's glue. The bottle says it contains Toluol and Ketones. Can I use a bit of regular paint thinner? If not, what and where do I get it?

Count yourself lucky that it's only too thick. I got a dual tube of white/clear and the thing matches as well as bird**** on black.

I use it for out of the way places and that is about it.
