Well, I found a 1/2" hole in my SP exhaust 2 weeks ago... It was in the 3 O'Clock position on the rear section just about 3" ahead of the muffler on the outboard side. I had to have a exhaust pipe section welded back over it cuz the metal was too thin to fill up... Cost me a big $40... hehe

Those of you with SP might want to keep an eye on there too.

 

Sure its not a drain hole for water? Some mufflers have them on the bottom but they are usualy smaller that 1/2". Maybe a hole for a temp. gague?

 

It was on the pipe and it was on the side of it.... no explanation...

I do only drive about 1 mile to work so there may be some condensation that forms in my exhaust cuz of the short drive in the mornings but why it didn't make the hole at the bottom of the pipe is a mystery to me...
