And as expected......
cars just keep getting uglier.....there should be a rule, at least if the car is butt ugly, make somewhat fast! that thing looks hideous!

Hehe I love this bias towards Nissan on this website. See, the point of the ES300 is not a performance sedan. It's not about how fast it can corner or how fast it can accelerate...the ES300 has always been about a smooth solid ride with great build quality and materials. And I think with those aspects, the ES300 will be successful.

If you want a faster car with a rougher ride, a few more rattles, and less wood trim, get an I35. If you want a soothing ride, quiet cabin, but place less emphasis on absolute cornering, then the ES300 is the ticket. Besides, for the same price, a Lexus customer can get an IS300 if they really want handling.

Just like the 2002 Maxima. No offense, but it could fit RIGHT into this catagory. If they would have just put the 255 HP engine in the 4th gen.'s....now THAT would be a perfect Maxima.

agreed, so who's gonna be the first to do the switch, 255hp n/a in a 4th gen would be sweet, but our trannies wouldn't like it. 5-spds with stage 3 clutches only.
