Yea, Consumer's Guide to car buying clocked the 2000 Maxima SE Automatic at 7.8 seconds. The '95s are proly very close to 7.5

Hey Deezo, you wouldnt happen to know what a auto 95-96 max runs with only a vb upgrade, do you ? (with the exceptions of minor bolt-ons, intake, ect.)

That would be interesting to know !

From my readings, the VB mod is supposed to take off about .3 to .5 sec of your best times. I say you best because you actually have to learn how to make your car shift without the VB mod. When I ran at Maxus, I tried to do many tests to see what would be best for running the auto. I could have gotten better times if I hadn't depended on the transmission to shift for me while the manual guys were shifting and pulling on and from me. I would have won some races also.

I have come to grips that there is not real way to race an auto without a VB mod. Without this mod, you will have to feather on the accelerator a bit to get the thing to drop into gear quicker. The VB allows you to just lay on it hard and IT takes care of the quick shifting without the feathering.

I just spoke to a source today that put the mod in and he can chirp his tires when entering second. Sounds like a winner to me.

Yea. I know what you mean. The max has GOOD acceleration, but when it shifts into second, it laggs and feels sluggish, and brings dissapointment. Someone @ AAA Transmissions said I could bring my max in and get the VB Upgrade for only 180.00 using the finest materials.(Something im gonna keep checking into)

Anyways, Deezo, One final Question. What do you mean it Chirps ?

I proly sound like a Novice but hey you never know until you ask

Thanks~

Also,

RPM Signal Wire,

I think it may not be on the ECU. It may be the wire that hooks into the RPM gauge.

I got that thru a brainstorm.
