who here have changed bushings?

Hey guys
I am wondering if any of you have upgraded your bushings, or at least replace them for some new ones.
If a car has clicking noise from the suspension components, could it be the bushings? A mechanic stated that some clicking noise on my car could be the caused by the aged bushings. Could this be true?
