Ok I've got a few things I'm unclear on with the new found headers. OK if you are running a stock y-pipe and you install the headers which are supposed to give 20% increase in power (not sure if thats the right number).
Is most of this power gain coming from the fact that you just installed a y-pipe sort of. Is less hp being gained from the actual headers themselves.
I mean I dont think someone who has a aftermarket y-pipe now is gonna notice a huge difference by adding these headers. Maybe I'm just confused. Any one else have ideas as to what I'm talking about.

yea, those are the questions that everyone has had, so they're finally trying it to educate the rest of us. I can't remember who's doing the switch, but do a search, find his name, and thank him for all of us!

Right but the point here is will he get more power from the header setup then just a new y-pipe. I mean sure the headers look cool, but if it yeilds only a few ponies more than a car with an aftermarket y-pipe why bother with them.

Well a few is better than nothing in that case if you have a aftermarket Y it wouldn't really be worth it. But if you are going from stock you might as well go all the way and get the headers. On 5th gen 5spds the typical gain to the "wheels" is ~13-15hp with aftermarket Y. I'm not sure about 4th gens but if he gets 20HP+ to the wheels it is worth it IMO. Remember he had them shipped 2-3 day for around $600.00 total. Slower shipping/group deal will make these a lil bit cheaper. There are tons of us just waiting for the numbers to come in! We're all hoping for excellent results! Again big props to emax95!

Haha, Thanks guys..

I am expecting to get about 7-10HP more with headers when compared to a Y-Pipe. If PPC is correct I should gain approx. 20-22HP{24.7 at the crank} at the wheels with this combo. I will however be happy if I pick up 17fwhp . I will probably do a dyno next friday to see the exact gains. If I really get 22fwhp I will have 193fwhp! Now that whould be awesome!

No, that's actually the right number. Remember, given the cost of these (without labor, 620 dollars), the only thing that gives you a bigger bang for the buck is NOS, which is cheating anyway.
