It doesn't...

MT got a 0-60 of 6.2 secs. But with a few mods, the Altima could pretty much match an early Boxter(6 secs-flat, I think).

I think my Father is going to get the new altima. He always talks highly about it. 0-60 in 6.28 seconds, damn thats pretty good. I wonder what kind of products Stillen is going to come out for it. Question: Whats the accerlation on the new maxima?

How can the Altima get to the 300HP level that the 350Z is reported to come with? Minor modifications should be able to achieve this number or close to it.

I don't think its as easy as you think. Look how hard it is to get a 4th gen to have the 222hp that the 5th gen has. Its nearly impossible since no one has done it.

Unless Nissan does something simple like restricting the exhaust on the Altima..but I don't think that will give you an extra 60hp. Maybe the 350Z has higher compression...does the Altima require premium gasoline?

It's a VQ with a 10:1 compression ratio, I would assume so.
