When ya box goes get the $$$ ready i just got qouted $2k US to rebuild my box i've hunted around and this seems to be the cheapest price. What's happened is the bearings have grabbed the sleeves and basically sheared the shaft, meaning a whole new gearset needs to be put in, though there may be an easy way out if i can get a custom made sleeve, then just get the shaft re-ground. Hopefully this will work. Either wsy this is the last straw for me
I'm going V8 GM next.

how many miles(km) do you have on your car...do you beat on it. The tranny won't last forever if you are hard on it.

BTW what kind of BBS wheels do you have?

That's why I had to replace my tranny last year. Cause the person that had the car before I did must have beat on the tranny. I didn't know that cause I bought it from an auction. It started to have a leak, then it started to leak more. I got lucky and found another 5spd tranny locally.

I've driven it hard at times but this is my baby, I don't thrash it. Apparently it's a common problem where the bearings grab onto the sleeve, this happens when it the bearings too hot, maybe a tranny cooler would've been a good investment, too late now !!
I've just been inquiring bout the R32 and R33 GTS Skylines single turbo models, 200sx (sr20det) and 300zxtt, what would you guys go for if you were going to stick with nissan
but go rear wheel drive ?????
