Hi, got a speeding ticket today, going 74KM in a 50KM zone.
Only $115CA but I am getting like 2 or 3 points with that which will increase insurance.
Now when the officer gave me the ticket, the yeat of my Max was indicated as 2002 and not a 98. Can I dispute the ticket on the bases that the car is a wrong year?

This happened in Toronto, so if anyone in Toronto knows this please help. But any info will be appreciated.

jus go to the dmv and tell them that you don't know how you could have gotten a ticket on your new 2002 yet, you haven't even bought it yet. im sure you could find a way out with a faulty officer like that.

 

Not sure how it works in Canada but you can make a pretty good case for mistaken identity in front of the judge if the officer makes that kind of error. Not that I'm advocating for you to get out of your ticket of course.
