Mixing synthetic oil with regular...

I'm going to drain out the regular oil and put in synthetic...will I run into any problems doing this?

burn some Oil at first use

Just Keep an Eye on the Level I have NOT had this problem but have heard that it May burn some Oil at first use of Synthetic.
