$225 for a new starte including labor, good deal?
Replacing the starter isn't hard at all ... I did it myself.
Most starters are remanufactured.
Don't know about AutoZone, but the dealer took a core charge and then later refunded it when I returned the old one.

Just make sure you have a torque wrench and possibly a breaker bar. And a friend for moral support might not be too bad either. I almost gave up a couple of times cause the damn bolts were so tight.

DIY, but spend the money the shop would charge you to buy the tools you need to do the job. Sockets, ratchet, breaker bar, torque wrench, etc. Use this method a few times and you will have allot of tools. Its what I do and Ive got enough tools to do a motor swap.
