Cattman Y-Pipes
by Cattman Performance

Superior stainless steel materials and TIG-welded strength. Optimize exhaust efficiency; biggest bolt-on performance increase. Should be used with high flow intake to maximize performance. Installs just like stock unit, no other modifications. 1995-2000 Y-pipe applications eliminate factory-installed "pre-cats" and are not intended for use on public roads or highways. Primary catalytic converter remains in place and continues to function normally.

Not all stainless steel is created equal, Cattman Y-pipes use grade 304, known for its corrosion resistance, weldability and resistance to high temperature. Avoid inferior substitutes.

Year Model Part Price Shipping
2000-2001 Maxima/I30; Federal emissions specification* YG5 $399 $20
1999-2001 Maxima/I30; CA/NLEV emissions specification* YG5/CA
1995-1999 ALL 1995-1998 Maximas/I30s
1999s with Federal emissions only* YG4
1989-1994 Maximas; all models and engines YG3

CRAZY PARENTS?

did you say "graduation present"????

do your parents know this voids the warranty and is illegal for street use? if not, don't tell them <grin>

ok Im confused I need a CA SPEC pipe for a 97 max. I went to Stillen, cattman, warpspeed's Web sites. Stillen doesnt specify fed or ca spec, warpspeed says 95-99 FED, Cattman says (ALL 1995-1998 Maximas/I30s. 1999s with Federal emissions only*) but I dont like their high price. Is there a CA pipe for a 97? some of you might tell me to "use search" but im out of time.

the stillen pipe is a two-piece design.... if you have cali spec, you don't use the front piece that bolts up to the manifold since you have a pre-cat there....

I got confused as well. E-mailed Brian Catts and he told me that it would work on my car.

What the web site is saying is;

ALL 1995-1998 Maximas/I30s . . . .meaning all Fed AND Cali spec Maximas for the 95-98 model years

1999 Max, just the Fed spec only.

That Y pipe will fit every 95-99 Max, EXCEPT the 99 California spec one.

Yes, they are genuine $tillen air fresheners. only $49.95! I havent Dyno'ed them yet but the nose dyno tells me its worth a good 10hp since they are visible from outside of the car!
