There is a car show here in northern NJ every thursday down on rt 23 hosted by "Envious Rides"..

One of their cars is a 98 Maxima.. let me list what he has:

Custom Purple Paint
Stillen front and rear kit
Erebuni Side skirts
M3 mirros
3 Tv's (2 in headrests one under passenger airbag)
DVD player under Pioneer DEH 9200
Seat covers (he called them custom seats.. nope covers)
95-96 Altezzas on the outside tail and GS 400 on the inside (yes custom body work)
trenz grill
some 4 inch straight exhaust
stillen intake
stillen ypipe(he says)
stillen catback(he says)
stillen FSTB
strobes here there and everywhere
custom CRAP airbrush on the reverse flip out hood (like fast and furious)
18inch mustang SVT chrome looking rims
Custom trunk enclosure with 2 RF Hx2's in bandpass box with mirrors and neons
dreamcast in fold down part of rear seat
blah blah

I am sure I missed some of the stuff he had done to it.. At first glance this guys car was AMAZING!!! he said he spent 30G's on it.. I laughed in his face almost.. and then he proceeded to tell me his strobes were offical police ones when they were the same ones i just bought (eurolite strobes U's) and that he had 248 HORSEPOWER to the front wheels... I ALMOST CRIED!!!! anyway, just figured I would share.. i can't stand when people lie about their cars..

I think his name is John Marr

He was at Carlise custom compact power jam. He scored exactly the same amount of points as I did. He will be at NOPI I think. Different style than what I'm going for.

Tony,
my guess is he'll be at Nopi.
He was there last yr.

Sound like a few new mods in place, like the m3 mirrors, & the air brushing.
rest sounds the same as before.

I could see him spending 30g's on the car. It has alot of body shop work done. It takes a lot of ducks to do the rear light conversion, hood conversion, then paint a full color conversion job.
Plus the tv's aren't cheap.

I think alot of us would go performamnce w/ that money, he's pure show. Hey, different stokes for different folks, right?

92 octane gas is not a mod.. well 30k isn't uncommon for show cars, i've just begun and have spent a grip load of money on parts alone, so i'm not doubting how much they guy spent. maybe he didnt' get hooked up in the beginning? or is he just listing retail prices?? because if it's retail, it's real easy to go over.

ehh

30k and the listed things are his "MAJOR" mods? I don't see how those things and let's say a few others can hit 30 grand! Unless he is counting the cost of the car in it?

Let's say:
paint job - 4,000$
Entertainment crap (TVs etc) - 4,000$
GS/Altezza rear body work + hood - 4,000$
Rims/Body kit - 4,000$
All other misc mods - 6,000$

As you can see, that adds up to around 20k $... and those are very very rough estimates and I really doubt most of those things cost him that much, except maybe the paint and body work..

Maybe overall, he had spent a lot more money on it before, then switched to these things.. But 30k is ****en crazy!!!!! I'd have to be making some very serious money to be investing so much cash into a maxima.

I might have to come and check it out.

With his mods, there is no way he puts down that power unless he has some serious engine work, NOS, or boosted. Hell, i dont even put that kind of power down!
