Ok, I broke a wheel stud off ( i mean the peice that the lugnut goes on). It's the drivers front wheel. All the others are tight. Is this something that I can wait a few days to have fixed or does it require my immediate attention and the car should not be driven...

Anyone know? Thanks

you can

easily run on only 4 lug nuts, since many cars only have 4 but i would look into getting it fixed soon, its really cheap so why not do it ya know?

The difference with the 5 lug setup is that when you have four of five lugs, the torque on the hub is not evenly distributed. Drive around this way too long and you'll warp the rotor.

Running on 4/5 is certainly not recommended. Try to explain to your insurance company why you totaled your car while running on 4 nuts!

If you broke it and it's under waranty, get it fixed. If someone else broke it, get it fixed. If you brok e it and it's not under waranty, get it fixed.

You will open it up one day, forgetting that you are one nut short of a set and you will get into real problem.
