Crashed Maxima sighting...
#1
Saw a White 4th gen (98-99) SE Max totalled on the side of I-95 North of 216 in MD this afternoon. Hope it was no one here. looks like there were 4-5 cars and a small truck involved. Jammed traffic from all the rubbernecking.

It was about 3:30pm this afternoon when I drove by, and the State Trooper was just pulling up to the scene, so possibly that's what you got delayed in. There was a small delivery truck stopped on the right shoulder, four cars on the left shoulder in various states of having been crunched. The Maxima was in front of them all, but ironically its front end is what was smashed. It was about 1/4 mile north of the rest area. What I'm thinking happened is that it was congested from that silly construction that splits the traffic down the center lane between 32 and 175. Someone probably didn't notice the guy in front hit the brakes, and voila! chain reaction.

Man, thats horrible. I was on I-95 northbound going from College Park to Rt. 216 around 4:30 today. Traffic was pretty bad....I guess thats why. What time did you see it?

I saw the truck and the other cars on the side. I didn't see the maxima though. Maybe it was taken away. That construction really sucksdown there. They need to get that taken care of quicker given that 95 is such a busy road. By the way quorum, where in MD are you at?

It's BS whatever they're doing. Splitting 4 lanes of traffic down the center on both north and south bound sides is annoying. Looked like someone ate a barrel when I was heading back home last night. An older (2 gen's back) Camry was sitting trying to turn out of the middle (cojnstruction section), and there was a barrel rolling back and forth in front of it. I pity that guy because chances are he'll get whacked when he tries to pull out into the traffic. I'd really hate to be one of the workers there since it seems no one slows down. I'd be willing to bet that there will be a few more fender benders there before they are through.
I think they're doing work on the "bridge", but to what extent I have no idea.
