Switching to synthetic oil>>
I have been wanting to switch from regular dino oil to synthetic oil for a while now, yet I have read that there is some kind of process that the engine has to go through. My car is a '90 and I know that I can't just dump synthetic in the engine without some adverse reactions. Don't I have to do an engine flush or something?? Can someone please explain the process?? Oh, and would it benefit me to do this switch or am I really just wasting my time??
Thanks,
Kevin
BTW I did a search on this because I know it has been discussed before but the search engine isn't working.
Thanks,
Kevin

If you're on original seals or cam seals (or crank seals) with more than 50+k miles, you'd probably get a leak switching to synthetic. Replace the seals and you'll be fine switching to syn.
