I have a 4th gen and currently running Polarg bulbs all around (front & rear corners, signals, sidemarkers, reverse). Recently, I went to my local shop and realized PIAA finally released "Hyper" or "Super" White bulbs for the above applications. Now today, and about a week ago, I blew a few of my Polarg bulbs and need replacements. I was thinking of switching all of my bulbs to PIAA Extreme bulbs, but I don't want to lose the light-bluish look which seems to match my Xenon headlight bulbs perfectly. I am thinking of switching because I think the Polarg wedge bulbs look more bluish-violet white and their 1156 & 1157 bulbs seem to be just bluish-white as if they used a different dye for each application. In Kelvin rating, let's say Polarg makes their bulbs at 4200K, considering 4500K would have more blue in it, what would the PIAA Extreme bulbs be, less blue or more blue?

Here's some auctions for the PIAA Extreme bulbs...

The Piaa extremes are nice. I have the h3 fogs, and I HAD the 1157's for the clearence lights. But the 1157's were too white/blue for my headlights (piaa superwhites).

So if you have different headlights, I'd say that the piaa xtremes might be good for you. But nobody can really say cause you have to match and see for yourself.

Just a note: The xtremes are much whiter and brighter than the Piaa superwhites at least the fogs are.

Ok thanks. Yea, I heard a lot about the PIAA Superwhites not being blue enough. Have you tried the Polarg 1157's in your clearance lights?

I'm getting the Polarg M-14's 1157. These are not the normal 8w/27w, they are 5w/21w. I want these cause in my opinion with the rewire the lights are too bright, so the 21w lights should look better.

Where are you getting your M14s? Also with the lower wattage, does the light look bluer or less blue?

I've seen them on Ebay for about $10/pair
or
http://nextcollection.com/index.cfm
but they are more expensive.

Go to www.google.com and do a search

As for the color, they are slightly blue, but very slightly. Because they are not as bright the blue is actually less noticable, than other higher wattage bulbs I've seen.

That's good IMO because I actually don't like the bluish tint because it's hard to match with the headlights. I'll take a look into it. Thanks.

The best bulbs I have ever seen are PIAA Super Plasma They look the exact same as the HIDs in an Audi the bad part is that they are 100 bucks a pair, i am going to get some soon and I will let you guys know, but I saw them in an accord with a Zeta kit, whiched looked like the BMW, and a new celica that looked like the Audi headlights

Don't think they come in 9004. I've seen h4 super plasma, but never 9004. That's the problem with fourth gens, the bulb design itself is not good.

I've heard people liked the look of the APC 80/100 with the upgraded wire harness. I think this is what Cheston runs.

I want the bluest tint bulb you can get, without just buying a blue bulb. Anyone have any suggestions?

As of right now to my knowledge until someone answers the above question, Polarg has the bulb you want.

That would be a REAL HID kit. Besides that, I know Naxxos has the best look. I have it only 2K1 Suzuki GSX-R600 bike.

If they make the size bulb that he wants.

The new Piaa xtremes are a little more white and less blue, but also very nice. But again they don't make a 9004 so 4th gens are out.

Ok, so they don't make PIAA Plasma's in 9004's, not worried about that. Among the wedge and 1156/1157 bulbs, PIAA Extreme bulbs are not as blue as the Polarg's?

There is Eurolight, hiper (sp? Hyper), and many others

Look here:
http://nextcollection.com/html/home-...=1157&bulb=yes

If you want blue get the Polarg G-32s

The xtreme are not too blue, neither are the lower wattage M-14's from Polarg

Ok, someone has finally asnswered my question, thanks. I guess I'll stick with the Polarg's in all my applications. I just wondered about these new PIAA bulbs when I have tried all the others, PIAA Platinum's, Plasma Blue's, and SuperWhite's. I also tried the APC and Eurolite wedge and 1156/1157 bulbs, and personally, I think they aren't blue enough to match any Xenon headlights. Thanks again for the info.
