I have a 4th gen and currently running Polarg bulbs all around (front & rear corners, signals, sidemarkers, reverse). Recently, I went to my local shop and realized PIAA finally released "Hyper" or "Super" White bulbs for the above applications. Now today, and about a week ago, I blew a few of my Polarg bulbs and need replacements. I was thinking of switching all of my bulbs to PIAA Extreme bulbs, but I don't want to lose the light-bluish look which seems to match my Xenon headlight bulbs perfectly. I am thinking of switching because I think the Polarg wedge bulbs look more bluish-violet white and their 1156 & 1157 bulbs seem to be just bluish-white as if they used a different dye for each application. In Kelvin rating, let's say Polarg makes their bulbs at 4200K, considering 4500K would have more blue in it, what would the PIAA Extreme bulbs be, less blue or more blue?
Here's some auctions for the PIAA Extreme bulbs...

The Piaa extremes are nice. I have the h3 fogs, and I HAD the 1157's for the clearence lights. But the 1157's were too white/blue for my headlights (piaa superwhites).
So if you have different headlights, I'd say that the piaa xtremes might be good for you. But nobody can really say cause you have to match and see for yourself.
Just a note: The xtremes are much whiter and brighter than the Piaa superwhites at least the fogs are.

Ok thanks. Yea, I heard a lot about the PIAA Superwhites not being blue enough. Have you tried the Polarg 1157's in your clearance lights?

or

but they are more expensive.
Go to www.google.com and do a search
As for the color, they are slightly blue, but very slightly. Because they are not as bright the blue is actually less noticable, than other higher wattage bulbs I've seen.

I've heard people liked the look of the APC 80/100 with the upgraded wire harness. I think this is what Cheston runs.

The new Piaa xtremes are a little more white and less blue, but also very nice. But again they don't make a 9004 so 4th gens are out.

If you want blue get the Polarg G-32s
The xtreme are not too blue, neither are the lower wattage M-14's from Polarg
