Ok, I have dibs on one that's for sale, and I was willing to call dibs without knowing much about it because I figure ANY STS has to be better than the stock throw, right?
So, is this thing worth $75 used? Has anyone experienced the feel of this shifter AND the feel of another one it can be compared against, just out of curiosity?
What company is SMC, anyway? Search won't let me look up SMC because of the problem with short words, so I can't really find any info about this shifter.

Lol ... is it true? u have an auto?
I'm assuming it's not .. so .. here goes ...
I installed mine last week ...
$75 used sounds pretty good 2 me ...
tried both the Stillen (phatguy) & SMC (mine)
same feeling ... but with SMC u can adjust it ... so it can b significantly shorter than the Stillen if u so desire ... don't recommend it though unless u don't mind banging your heat shield so that it'll fit ... & u don't mind really pushing hard 2 get in2 5th gear ...
SMC .. company in CA that does a lot of brakes ... reputable .. steve is the owner & is very knowledgeable & friendly albeit .. slow @ doing what he says he will do ... prob cuz he's busy!
conclusion? get it ... u won't regret it ... you may find that initially it's really really really really really really stiff & wonder why u did this .. but either 1. u get used 2 it .. or 2. it gets broken in (which the used one might already b) ... & u will luv driving with it!

Thanks for nothing, Sprintmax. Those gauge pods on your monitor look pretty good, though.
