I have seen SOME maxes with intercoolers and was wondering where they got them. I am just interested in getting one since I cannot afford a supercharger, but MIGHT be able to afford an intercooler, if they are cheap enough. Thanks guys.

Why would you want an intercooler if you don't have boost?

Damn, we are getting as bitter as the CL board people. RaMIUS83, INTERCOOLERS COOL THE OILS THAT DRIVE CHARGERS. No boost/charger, no need for intercooler.

What's wrong with getting an intercooler on a NA??

It's like having a big wing on a FWD car and Monster Tach on an auto. It's all about looking good Intercooler goes for $850 - $1500. You car would look really good with one. Just don't pop the hood or else people would laugh at you for having one with no purpose.

Dude, I hope you're joking....

The intercooler cools the pressurized air that comes out of the SC.

Ok, I did not know that. I thought that an intercooler was for some other purpose that dealt with the air intake of the engine. I am sorry for bothering you all. I plan on getting a supercharger, maybe a year or so down the road. But until then, just the simple easy mods. Thanks again all for clearing it up.

dont'worry botu some of the mean replies here that pop up once in a while. it's the heat.. well a intercooler is somewhat benificial on NA cars to some extent. it still cools the air, but you'll have more restrictions in terms of air flow. if you still plan to get an intercooler for aesthetic purposes, i suggest you hold off, it's always easier to get an intercooler that has it's inlet and outlet where it is easier to run the pipping fromt he sC or turbo from. i know a person taht is running an intercooler on his NA accord. he once had a prototype turbo in there but there was a leak with the exhaust manifold, so they took it off, and ran piping to the intercooler so he could use it as part of his intake system for now. his car is a show car so it doesn't matter if it's fast or not..
