I just found out from my friend that on his 97 SE if he holds the open door botton for a few seconds the front windows roll down... Anyoen know why they do not have this on the 5th Gen and how to do this on the I30s?? I tried on both and no luck.

It's not a fluke

I don't know about the previous gen or the 5th gen OEM remotes, but on my 96SE, which I no longer have, and my 99SE both allows me to roll down the front windows if I hold down for about 3-5 seconds. It will roll down as long as I hold the button down. The salesman actually showed me this when he was selling the car to me way back in 95.

unfortunately, the 5th Gen Maximas don't have that feature. They forgot! Just like they forgot brightened clearance lights on the 97+ maximas.

I just wish there was a way to roll them back up. Although I have had fun with my girlfriend when she is waiting in the car for me. I would walk away and from a good distance roll down the windows and then make the car alarm go off.

The 2002 Maxima has it once again.

It must have needed more horsepower to get the windows down.

This feature is definatly on your 98 I30, it's on mine. If you are from Canada or something it may be different, but I dow't it.

On your remote hold down the door unlock key for around 3 seconds and the front windows will magically start to come down. If you want them back up you have to put your key in the ignition and do it "manually". Sounds like fun, doesn't it? Go ahead, try it!

actually, i think it's the most annoying feature my max has. many times i have accidentally unknowingly rolled down the windows when inside the house and raining outside.. guess what happens, yeah, windows roll down and RAIN goes inside... i wish they could disable that stupid feature
