yes

but you need some mods to keep up , he has more hp, but you have around the same amt of torque i believe. so start modding. or get the 2002 maxima, he will not even come close.

Should be close!

at wheel HPs are about mid/low 150s for the Maxima and low 160's for the IS300....the IS might edge, but who knows!?

whoa

he's juiced? then you should back up son. or else tell him to take that bottel out and race each other stock, you'll have to do some brake torquing or some manual shifting on your auto. good luck.

Stock for stock it will be really close. I have raced one in my stock 97 auto and hewas at my back door until about 70 mph. Just keep your foot in it and get the jump off the line and you will be ok.

Yea, If you manually shift good, you could have a good chance to win.

The Maxima and the IS300 are VERY close in performance. Tell him no n2O and it should be fun.

But not 95's!

I raced a few before I had the headers and I won from 0-90MPH by about 1 car length, this was with a slipping Clutch{Centerforce},exaust leak, old plugs and a REALLY dirty T.B., which is being replaced in about 10 days.
