So we were having this bachelor party in Tijuana for a friend who is getting married in a couple of days, and on the way home, I took a street that a normally take, when I see this massive speed bump.My car was full of people and I couldn't stop in time. I hit it at about 25 mph on 18's. I checked my car for damage and there was none, but on the freeway you can now feel a slight wobble. My questions are these...

1. If they are minor dents,(not visible to the eye) can they be repaired?

2. What's an average to cost to repair each wheel? or better yet, what's the most it can cost?

3. How do you do this? One wheel at a time and use my spare, meanwhile? I wanted to buy a set of steel 15" wheels and some tires at discount for $350 and send all 4 wheels away. Would that be a waste of money?

4. Why the hell did this happen to me!?!?!?!
Any suggestions?

Sorry cwally...

Where did you purchase your wheels at? I'd take them back to where you bought them only if there is no visible damage to your wheel. I had a slight out of round wheel on my Acura Integraand took it back to Discount Tire where I bought them and they replaced my wheel. I only had about 3K miles on both rims and tires and took care of me.

I bought them at Discount Tire, but I had already bent them, and they gave me new ones no questions asked... But now, I have had them for about 20,000 miles and I think that they might not be as helpful...
Dude... This sucks

You can get them repaired. It might be only one or two wheels that are bent anyway.

don't you have to check the inside of the rim to see if it's bent?

Yeah. The easiest way to do it is to put the car up on a rack and spin the wheels. Stare at one spot on the wheel and you'll see the bump go by.

I have to go to Discount Tire and check them, but it is not visible on the outside of the wheel. The steering wheel shakes and the car vibrates and you can feel it when you brake. What's the best way to do it? One wheel at a time? Buying steel wheels? What's the average cost to fix and ship, because I got the wheels for 208 a piece, and if it is close to that, shouldn't I just buy a new wheel? Thanks for all your help...

Check the inside lip of the wheels when you spin them. That is where they usually bend. Repairing them is pricy (at least where I got mine done). I don't know about shipping because the wheel shop is near me. Repairing should be cheaper than $208, though. Do you know where to get it done?

iwas gonna get it done through Discount tire... they told me to go down there. but I haven't had the time...How much did yours cost to fix? I am just trying to determine the practicality of getting them fixed as opposed to just buying a new one, and selling the old ones.
