got the 96 max like a week ago... decided to get an oil change for it...

the previous owner said he had syn oil and was always using that... i decided for the first time with the car... i'd goto nissan and get the oil change done once by them, so i can check under the car, and just generally see where everything is placed... I looked at the oil filter the guy pulled off.... the previous owner was using a fram filter... i am sad... after everything i've been hearing... i dislike fram filters very much...

anyways... not much point to this post... i'm just a tad bored at work... figured it be sumthin to do.. hehe

hmm the oil filter they instelled is pretty good quality i assume... cost me like 68$ for the oil change... 13.50 in labour charges... yikes...
well... got it done once... probably never again... heh

well gotta look busy... i'll just stare blindly at this non functional xml editor i'm working on... hehe

You got reamed, I dont care what kind of oil and filter they used....

 

well i dunno ben.. my oil changes cost me around $28

$24 for oil (Mobil 1)
$4 for filter (Nissan OEM filter)

so i guess he paid $40 for the oil change?

ok ben you are right.. he got ripped a new one

Sears has Purolator Plus oil filters for $2.50 on sale right now. As good or better than OEM IMHO and based on the Oil Filter Study.

hehe i totally agree with you guys... i did get reamed...
i think they were selling the oil filter alone for like
11$... which is freakin nuts... not something i'm going to do again... i just wanted to start with a clear head... saying i went to the dealership, got it done by them...
plus it allowed me to check under the car... and all that other uhm... fun stuff.. yeah....

but yeah 68 was a crap load...

 

Which WalMart sells 5 GALLONS of Mobile 1 for $18.

Damn that's 4 changes' worth...
