Detailing Q: removing scratches on plastic, matte finish on trim pieces?
Hi, I was just detailing my interior today and I thought a few questions.
I have some scuff marks and scratches on some plastic pieces in the car, such as kick panels, kick plates, etc. Is there an effective way to repair this, or just cover it up?
When I bought the car used the dash center pieces are kinda shiny. I want a matte-like finish. Flat, and non glossy. Is there any solution to attaining this result?
My dash (vinyl) and steering wheel in general is semi-glossy. Is there a way to also make these areas more of a flat, non-shiny look?
Thanks for any help!! I appreciate it very much.

Actually, you can only cover those scratches up, by using some type of protectant. Wiping it with tire dressing should do the trick. As for the matte finish; I like that look too. All I did was wash the dash down with carpet shampoo, and now I use Lexol leather conditioner as a protectant. Armor All sucks and is way too shiny.
