Different Synthetics

I just recently changed my 2k1 to Mobile1 synthetic oil(10k) and have put about 1k miles on her. I am really wanting to switch to Amsoil synthetic. Would it be ok to switch to a different synthetic, and if so should I do it now or wait till the next oil change in about 3k miles?
