Congrats Don, gret time!

Not to burst every ones buble but I could have sworn Phil96SE ran either a 11.6 or a 11.8.

Was that the run where you clocked a 17 or something?
I was wondering what was wrong. I also noticed you guys changing tires alot. I figured you were working on the Street tire class, then switched to the MT's.

I saw that dark brown Supra do some 1000' runs, that damn thing is gonna SMOKE tomorrow, I can't wait to see it.

Congrats Don, at least you went with smaller tires to get that acceleration.

great job don, you almost make me want to keep my maxima. You need to figure out the trap speeds though, those are wacked. My slow car is trapping a 102 at a 14.2, and yes my car is slow.

Don-Congrats! I cant wait to see the MPEG.

BTW- i think what is giving you the low traps speeds are a few things.

The fact that you have small tires up front. Smaller tires give better acceleration and slower trap speed. Bigger rims give higher trap speeds. Thus, changing your final drive ratio.

The high stall torque converter; On launch, you are already into the power band.

Don, you give a whole new meaning to auto-majiks.

He has no proof of it. Until I see proof like Don has showed us or will show us, Phil hasn't ran squat

Well for the respect that Phil is given around here I would say he has ran squat. I guess he needs to get his butt here and defend himself now.

I don't think Phil really cares about impressing us. From what I have seen he likes to keep to himself .
I am sure Don will beat a 11.6 soon anyways so we/I won't have to speculate.

Umm, sorry but he has never proven that he has ran any of those times. Until that day is not one of the fastest maximas here.

Well, when he gets fast one day, he will soon see.

100 shot?

BTW, I remember the argument before being that Phil ran 12.6? When did he run 11s? Not doubting him in anyway, just wondering...
Also, I remember talks about a max with a 3.2L motor, but the person sold it or blew the engine? And how fast was that SCd Max the owner of the fastest Sentra ran?

If Y2KevSE is running 11 psi right now, it shouldnt be too hard to get an engine to hold around 15 psi when it is rebuilt. Once it will hold that the 150-200 shot of NO2 shouldnt be a problem.

Im expecting $5000 for the rebuild. If its a little more, thats ok. If its less, even better. I've already spent about $16,000 on my car in the past 2 months, 5 more shouldnt be a problem.

That is what i thought too but i was told it wasa 125 shot of NOS.

BTW, I remember the argument before being that Phil ran 12.6? When did he run 11s? Not doubting him in anyway, just wondering...
Phil was rumored to run 12.8 and even hit a 12.6.

Also, I remember talks about a max with a 3.2L motor, but the person sold it or blew the engine? And how fast was that SCd Max the owner of the fastest Sentra ran?
Steve in Philly prog. had the 3.0 motor bored over to a 3.2L. THat motor was S/Ced and had a NOS wet system in it. It was never ran or track tested. Steve sold the motor over to Mardigrasmax (MAtt). He just finished the motor swap.

The other sentra guy your talking about is James Farrell. He drags @ E-Town. I think his best was a 12.8 in his NOSed Max.

Senor..

Don is the quickest

Sleeper is the fastest proven with higher traps..

as far as phil.. he has an m5 sitting in his driveway when he is ready to get rid of his maxima.. so i really don't think he cares

Doesn't 106mph seem very slow for a 12.2 run? Did he let off the gas the couple hundred feet or something? Unless he's pulling like a 1.2sec 60ft., which is pretty impossible in a fwd, even with slicks, it seems he should be running more like 116mph. Not doubting the time, just wondering where the mph is.
Also, what shot of NOS is he running, like 150? What else is done to the car?

Wow, now I(DREW) am kicking myself for not going, instead I rode my bicycle to Austin with some friends. Looks like I really missed out.

HERE'S THE KICKER: Don's Maxima has over 100k and STOCK internals through and through. Hey Don, maybe the ported exhaust manifolds are coming through for ya in conjunction with the nitrous?!

VERY NICE!
