I was wondering if anyone else had the Pacesetter Quik Shifter on their Max? I got one and it says its adjustable but it can only go a certain distance before it hits on the catylytic converter. It is adjustable so that the height=the shortness of the shift. The shorter the height the quicker the shift, but the height it is at now is almost like it was stock. Is there anything I can do???

Huh?

The height is close to stock, doesn't change. The pivot point (throw length) is adjustable.

You can cut it, that's about it. Adjusting the pivot point of the shifter affects throw length much more than the height of the shifter above the center console... so cutting the shifter is not very beneficial.

Thats what I mean though, the height of the shifter is dirctly related to the throw length on the Pacesetter model. The pivot point is controlled by an adjustable ball that can be raised and lowered. When the ball is at the highest point, the stick height is lower and the throw length is shorter. I really don't care how high it is but I really want to be able to get quicker shifts but I am not sure I will be able to due to interference near the cat when the ball is placed at the level need for quick shifts. Kind of confusing, sorry, but I am just wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar. Thanks!
