I suggest a 'new' used car because they give you a great deal

1995 5spd, $$ left over to supercharge it, and have one of the fastest, most awesome cars on the road.

Alright bro, GO 95 !!The only problem they have is the ignition. I had to get a new starter. But besides that everything is super. They are the quickest, too, becuase they have the least speed emissions and are the lightest. ONLY 95 tho, 96 was refined with more emissions.

97-99 have minor cosmetic changes, with more emissions.

I HIGHLY recommend a 95. You could get one with low mileage in tip-top shape for around 10 G's, then have 5 grand left over to go crazy modding it.

My 95 only has 56K miles. The engine is still in great condition, and the enterior just like new. It's like the engine has just been broken-in !

You forgot to mention the main change for 97-99 models, which is enhanced crash protection. 95-96 Maximas received a "poor" rating from crash tests. 97-99 models achieved an "acceptable" rating due to stronger bumpers and better footwell protection on the offset test.

I would personally always go for a NEWER car. I thnk for 15 grand you can get a nice 99 with decent milage... Why get a car that is 6 years old? Unless you would really rather spend the extra cash on modding it... But isn't it better to have a car that has not been abused as long??

Looks are personal opinions...my black '95 only has 55k miles on it, which is less then plenty 97-99's ive seen. It will last as long/longer then some of them.

Any year you choose you will still be getting a Maxima, and one hell of a car.

buy mine for 12k and then all you need is a VB and a cat-back and you'll be all set.
