man im getting sick of racing worthless cars... i know hondas are lame to race but hondas eclipse talon (teen cars) are the only ones that will race me... and it seams everyone has a load exaust lowered rims system aero kit and 10,000 other "look" mods.. but i always win them out!!!! why is that.. i know maximas arnt fast cars (well for there class they are awsome) but really why dont they waist there parents money on some worthwhile engine mods..... my friend nick had a 99 AWD eclipse that looked stock but ran 11.183 in the 1/4 that is a mans car!!!!!! none of this girly stickers and dif. color badget.. get real

but to answer your question, its choice. most teens can only afford cheaper cars. plus the cars you named in general have a bigger aftermarket.

id like to blame it on stupidity... a aero kit is as much as a cat back and intake.. or anyother decent mod.... my friend was looking for a new car i told him go nissan (cause im the nissan god) and he bought a 240sx... now taking in acount the year the ka24de has 155hp and 160lbs-ft.. thats a nice platform (2.4liters for you ppl who cant decifer nissan code) anyway there isnt obvisous aftermarket but still good and itl trash a type r with very few mods at half the price
