Other than exterior diff, 2000+ I30s share the same mechanical components with the 2000+ maxima (5th gen). So if you got power or suspension mod Qs, most guys here or in the 5th gen forum should be able to help you.

BTW, good choice picking the car

there are body kits....you just have to buy them from japan. expect to pay in the 4k-5k range for a complete kit due to shipping. I know athe signature kit as a front lip I want for $700...do a search on it if you havent already. there have been posts about this topic

I30 = overseas Max

The I30 is really just an overseas Max. As a 2000 I30 owner I've gotten some good ideas and input from this site. Welcome

thanks for the welcome, everyone.

sprintmax, i kept the si, i still like it, it's a nice contrast, the si is quick and fun to drive but i had gotten used to the harsh ride until the i30, so it's like the si for a fun, the i for a comfortable ride.. i just paid the si off this month also.

and i haven't gotten on the i30 yet, but i would think the si is faster, at least 0-60, i heard the i30 is kinda soft off the line thus the kinda slow 0-60 times, but i heard they really move at freeway speeds, but then what do i know, i am driving like a grandma, breaking it in..

I30's can be made to be very fast. Before I went mad my SC I30 did 0-60 in 5.44

Thanks, it's whats under the hood I really miss. Every time I look at these pics I feel like the biggest moron in the world for parting it out and now selling it. A part of me wants to put it all back together again . Damn MAFS drove me up the wall. BTW heres a pic of what "was" under the hood..
