I need some ideas for switches!

I'm installing three differents sets of neons / leds ... but I want to be able to control each one individually so I want to have a switch for each ...

can you guys give me suggestions?

1. To be able to turn my underbody neon kit on & off

2. To be able to turn my four interior neons on & off ... 2 under the front dash .. 2 under the front seats ...

3. Windshield nozzles ... I want to be able to have them on always .. but be able to turn them off & also to have them blink when I signal ...

Complicated huh?

Any ideas?

i put a switch in the little unused plug right next to the interior light dimmer. there is also one on the other side in my car. i dunno if those plugs are already used in other models though, i bet one of them is used for traction control and one for foglights or something. but i have 2 open ones.

Perfect place for switches

Those coin holders...A flip switch will fit perfectly in those, and it's recessed so you don't accidentally hit one when driving. I think that's the perfect place for a few switches. Somebody's done it, too...I just can't remember who it was.

Peace

well...i got the nozzle washer lights and the neon underbody kit wired together to 1 switch...it's really small so i just made a little hole in the plastic panel below the steering wheel somewhere to the left and installed the switch there

I have 2 swithes right now. One is plain, and the other is an illuminated switch for my alarm scanner. Looks really nice except I dont have a good place to mount the switch, so i just taped it up against the dash near my left knee. Ill be getting another switch for my underbody neon kit too. Ill prob put the switch near my e-brake...but i need to look for a good spot. I only have on open space for coins thatd be good, but I use that already.

Re: Re: Re: Perfect place for switches

I had to special order them from R&S Strauss. If you don't have an R&S Strauss near you, try a local auto parts store that does special ordering.

I got them for $11 a piece. And the company that make them is called Painless Performance (http://www.painlessperformance.com). You can't order directly from them... I tried that already.

The switches that you're looking for can be found here: http://www.painlessperformance.com/switchcc.htm

The part numbers are 80407, 80408, 80409 depending on what you want to do with the switch. I got 80407 cause I just wanted on/off.

However, take off your coinholders and you'll see a little nub in the socket. You'll need to grind that nub down and make the socket a little bigger. But you won't have to do it so much that is visible if you put the original coinholder back into the socket though, so don't worry.

Actually the 15" under the drivers side doesnt fit as well. The reason i got the 10inch one is because i had a 15" there originally but it died on me, and i didnt feel like paying for another 15".

My camera is just sensitive to light, but in real life its hard to tell a difference which one produces more light.
