Chromaslusion Maxima?

I have potential to get my car repainted in chromalusion for pretty cheap. I think it would be kick *** looking and so far I havent seen any chromaslusion Maxima's yet, although somebody here had a chromalusion body kit I do remember. Also, with my current sage mist green, the jambs and stuff wont really matter cause the color will blend right in.

Talk to Don from Mobiltek (DoninTX?). He had a chromallusion checkerboard design on his for awhile. Maybe you could check out his pics. Maybe he'll even show pics when he was sanding it off

chromalusion is a mix of different colors....looks orange, red, green, blue, purple depending on how you look at it, how the sun shines on it etc...it's very cool to look at.
There is a 3rd Gen Chromalusion max...the guys nic used to be ChamelonMax or something like that (on the other 3rd gen board I think). I know his name is David. I'm sure someone has a pic of that around here somewhere.

One day on the parkway i passed a new model stang,

as it approached it was metallic green, and when it was exactly passing me it flashed over to metallic red. It was a very sunny morning so the effect was excellent. It was one of the coolest paint jobs I have ever seen.

David's car has a Dupont Chromalusion Pure Fire Prism paint job. I'm sure it's called both Kameleon & Chromalusion.

That paint job is sweet!

It's also referred to as "Flipflop Paint" or "Candy Paint", as in

"...watch my candy paint change, every time I switch lanes..."

Down here in Orlando i saw a Maxima with that paint job. I didn't really care for it on a max. I have seen cars that i thought it would look good on usually sports cars. there was a bad *** NSX with it and chrome rims looked pretty flashy, kinda gaudy but looked good

In New York there is one too

I met a kid at a show... 99 SE-L had it painted chromallusion 2 weeks after he bought it. Custom Leatherette interior. He was a cool guy we chatted for like 2 hours. It was on Route 9 in Poughkeepsie. The car looked ill as it sat. Didn't like his chromies but other than that the outside looked hot.

anyone else not like the chromalusion? I've seen it on tons of cars but I'm not a fan of it. Something more simple, live silver with a baby blue pearl is what I'd go with

*raises hand*

Don's car looked good, but anything more than an accent in chromalusion doesn't look good to me.

I saw a chrome allusion CRX, the sun was coming down and the car looked blue, then purple then green then red... awsome, it looks a different color from every angle.... too sweet.

Candy paint isactually something else. Candy paint looks metallic or glittery.

Damn, that's beautiful. I've seen Expeditions with that paint and it looked hella nasty. Looks great as an accent.

Hehe Don. I just noticed you had the door handles painted black but not the chrome window trim. Do you plan to do it at all or do you like that look?
